Ingredients

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper (red or green), diced

1 medium onion, diced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice or crusty French bread (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp and Steak: In a bowl, combine the shrimp and steak cubes with Cajun seasoning, half of the minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for about 20 minutes to soak up the flavors.

Sear the Steak: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak cubes and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach a desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended). Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Be careful not to overcook them.

Build the Sauce: Add the diced bell pepper, onion, and the remaining garlic to the skillet with the shrimp. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

Create the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, sprinkle with smoked paprika, and stir well to combine. Let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.

Combine Everything: Add the seared steak back into the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Stir well to coat the meat and seafood with the creamy Cajun sauce.

Taste and Adjust: Season with additional salt and pepper as necessary.

Serve: Serve the Cajun shrimp and steak mixture over cooked rice or with slices of crusty French bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
