Ingredients

1 large Italian hoagie roll

1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced

8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 6-8 minutes, or until they are softened and translucent. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and add the thinly sliced beef sirloin. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the beef is cooked through. Combine with the veggies and mix well.

Take the hoagie roll and slice it open without cutting all the way through. Place it on a baking sheet.

Fill the roll generously with the beef and vegetable mixture. Layer the provolone cheese slices on top of the beef and veggies.

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley for a burst of color and flavor before serving.
