1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup milk

1 cup toffee sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or a rectangular baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Pour half of the pudding batter into the prepared baking dish, then drizzle half of the toffee sauce over the batter.

Pour the remaining batter over the toffee, and finally drizzle the rest of the toffee sauce over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
