Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using). Mix well until blended.

Marinate the Wings: Place the chicken wings in a large zip-top bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the wings, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: When you're ready to cook, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top. This allows the heat to circulate around the wings.

Arrange the Wings: Take the wings out of the marinade and arrange them in a single layer on the wire rack. Reserve the marinade for later use.

Bake the Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should be golden brown and crispy.

Glaze the Wings: While the wings are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly. This will be your glaze.

Glaze Before Serving: In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the wings with the thickened glaze to add an extra layer of flavor.

Serve the Wings: Once done, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
