Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup milk

1 large egg

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for topping)

2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and blend until crumbly.

Incorporate Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.

Knead and Roll: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes. Roll out the dough into a rectangle roughly 12x18 inches.

Prepare the Cheesecake Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Rolls: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the diced strawberries evenly on top.

Roll and Cut: Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.

Add Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and remaining granulated sugar. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the rolls.

Brush with Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the rolls for added flavor and browning.

Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, drizzle with extra powdered sugar icing made from powdered sugar and a splash of milk if desired.

Prep Time, Total Time, Servings: 20 minutes | 45 minutes | 12 rolls.

                          - Presentation Tips: Serve warm on a large platter, dusted with extra powdered sugar. Add a few whole strawberries or mint leaves for color. Enjoy with a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat!
