Ingredients

For the dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1 tsp salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the filling:

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 cup pecans, chopped

For the frosting:

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over this mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture, followed by the eggs. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Let it Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the sliced strawberries and chopped pecans.

Shape the Rolls: Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 12x18 inches). Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch on the edges.

Roll and Cut: Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake: Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Prepare the Frosting: While the rolls are baking, make the frosting by mixing softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.

Frost the Rolls: Once the rolls are out of the oven and slightly cooled, drizzle the frosting over the top.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the cinnamon rolls warm and enjoy the delightful combination of strawberry cheesecake and crunchy pecans!
