Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups granulated sugar

5 large eggs, at room temperature

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 cup toasted pecans, chopped

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan to ensure easy release of the cake.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.

Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each addition to fully incorporate it into the mixture.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream. Start and finish with the flour mixture (flour-sour cream-flour-sour cream-flour).

Add the vanilla and almond extracts, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chopped toasted pecans until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once done, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

If desired, dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar before serving.
