Ingredients

3-4 pounds beef brisket

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large onion, thinly sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 teaspoons dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Sear the Brisket: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the brisket generously with salt and pepper. Once hot, sear the brisket for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer to the slow cooker.

Prepare the Onion Gravy: In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add Ingredients: Pour in the beef broth and balsamic vinegar, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and pick up any browned bits. Stir in brown sugar, thyme, and paprika.

Combine in Slow Cooker: Pour the onion gravy over the brisket in the slow cooker, ensuring the brisket is well-coated.

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is fork-tender.

Serve: Carefully remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve with the balsamic onion gravy spooned over the top, garnished with fresh parsley.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 8-10 hours | Servings: 6-8
