Ingredients

6 large buttery croissants

1 cup cooked ham, diced

1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese (or Swiss cheese)

½ cup cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, shredded cheese, softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, chopped chives, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Carefully slice each croissant in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom.

Generously spoon the ham and cheese mixture onto the bottom half of each croissant. Do not overfill to avoid spilling when you close them.

Place the top half of the croissant on each filled bottom half, gently pressing down to secure the filling.

Arrange the filled croissants on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg to give them a golden, shiny finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 6 croissants
