Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Zest and juice of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbly.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute or until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.

Increase the heat to medium-high, then add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.

Flip the shrimp and cook for another 2 minutes, or until fully cooked and opaque.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional minute to let the flavors meld together.

Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving.
