Ingredients

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1 cup sugar (adjust to sweetness preference)

4 cups water

2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender flowers

1-2 drops of food-grade lavender essential oil (optional, for extra fragrance)

Pink food coloring (optional, for a vibrant hue)

Ice cubes

Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Make Lavender Infusion: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the dried lavender flowers. Heat over medium heat until boiling, then reduce to a simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 10 minutes.

Prepare Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Strain Lavender: After steeping, strain the lavender infusion through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into the pitcher with the lemon juice and sugar mixture. Discard the lavender flowers.

Add Water: Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to mix.

Optional Adjustments: If desired, add a few drops of pink food coloring for a beautiful hue and 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil for an intensified lavender aroma. Mix well until the color is even.

Chill: Refrigerate the pink lavender lemonade for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve: To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled lavender lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with thin lemon slices and a sprig of fresh lavender.
