Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and well blended.

Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the mixture and beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish using a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the bars cool for 15 minutes; then press the chocolate kisses into the center of each bar while they are still warm, spacing them evenly.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 24 squares

                      - Presentation Tips: Once cut, serve the bars on a colorful platter. You can dust them with powdered sugar for a sweet touch or drizzle melted chocolate over the top for extra flair!
