Ingredients

12 ounces penne pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups beef broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced green and red bell peppers, along with the onion. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Return the cooked steak to the skillet and pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the penne pasta and dried Italian herbs. Stir well, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Once the pasta is cooked, reduce the heat to low and add the softened cream cheese, stirring until fully melted and combined. The sauce should be rich and creamy.

Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese on top of the pasta, cover the skillet, and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve hot.
