Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a large bowl, combine the honey, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the marinade. Whisk until everything is well blended.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until they are evenly coated. Allow the wings to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator (longer is better for flavor).
After marinating, remove the wings from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
Drizzle olive oil over the wings and toss again to ensure a nice coating that will help them crisp up.
Spread the wings out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Once done, remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with additional black pepper and salt to taste, based on preference.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the wings longer if possible.
