Ingredients

1 package of wonton wrappers (about 50 wrappers)

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 jalapeños, seeds removed and finely chopped

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, chopped green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well blended and creamy.

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture into the center of the wrapper.

Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water (you can use your finger or a brush). Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to create a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal.

To ensure a secure seal, you can crimp the edges with a fork if desired. Repeat until all the filling is used up.

Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat until hot (about 350°F/175°C). Carefully add the wontons in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.

Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried wontons to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or spicy aioli.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 10 (approximately 50 wontons)

                  - Presentation Tips: Arrange the wontons on a serving platter with a small bowl of dipping sauce in the center. Garnish with extra chopped green onions or sliced jalapeños for a vibrant look.
