Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

½ cup ricotta cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon cornmeal (for dusting)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then sprinkle with cornmeal to prevent sticking.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle (about 12 inches by 16 inches).

Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving about an inch border around the edges.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the ricotta, followed by the sliced pepperoni.

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the filling for an extra layer of flavor.

Starting from one of the longer sides, carefully roll the dough up into a tight log, ensuring the filling stays inside. Pinch the ends to seal tightly.

Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Using a sharp knife, make a few slashes on top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape during baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

                      Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                        - Presentation Tips: Slice the Stromboli into thick pieces and arrange them on a serving platter. Serve warm with a small bowl of marinara sauce for dipping and garnished with fresh basil for a pop of color. Enjoy!
