Ingredients

2 cups fresh blueberries

4 cups water

3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

4 teabags (black tea or herbal tea)

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Lemon slices for garnish

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries and 1 cup of water.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the blueberries burst and release their juices.

Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing down on the berries to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.

In a separate pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the teabags. Let steep for about 5-7 minutes for a strong tea flavor.

Once steeped, remove the teabags and stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm, allowing it to dissolve completely.

In a pitcher, combine the strained blueberry juice, sweetened tea, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir well to combine.

Refrigerate the pitcher for about 1-2 hours to chill and allow the flavors to meld.

When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blueberry tea lemonade over the ice.

Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint for added flair.
