1teaspooncornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (for thickening)
to tasteFresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well incorporated.
Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey and soy sauce. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.
Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the saucepan with the honey garlic sauce. Toss to coat each meatball generously with the sauce.
Allow the meatballs to simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to soak in the flavors.
Serve the honey garlic meatballs hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
