Ingredients

4 chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.

Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear them for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.

Once the chicken is browned, lower the heat to medium and pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken. Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Optional: For a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Stir it into the sauce in the skillet, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Remove the skillet from heat and let the chicken rest for a couple of minutes.

Slice the chicken and drizzle the remaining sauce over it. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
