Ingredients

For the Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

For the Filling:

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

For the Topping:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast on top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Ingredients: Add the melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the diced strawberries and set aside.

Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 12x16 inches on a floured surface.

Assemble the Rolls: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log.

Cut the Rolls: Slice the log into 1.5-inch pieces and arrange them in a greased baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover the dish with a towel and let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Make the Glaze: While the rolls bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Finish and Serve: Once baked, allow the rolls to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze on top.
