Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, and egg until fully combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.

Gradually add the remaining flour, a little at a time, until the dough becomes smooth and slightly sticky.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until it’s elastic and smooth.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle, approximately 1/4-inch thick.

In a bowl, mix ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and chopped nuts (if using). Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly on top.

Starting from the long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving some space in between. Cover them with a towel and let them rise again for 30 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before drizzling cream cheese frosting on top.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 55 minutes | Servings: 12 rolls

                              - Presentation Tips: Serve the rolls warm on a decorative plate, drizzled generously with cream cheese frosting, and sprinkle some chopped nuts on top for extra texture.
