Ingredients

6 large buttery croissants, torn into pieces

1 cup cooked ham, diced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

6 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

In the greased baking dish, scatter the torn croissant pieces evenly across the bottom.

Sprinkle the diced ham over the croissant pieces followed by an even spread of shredded cheddar and Swiss cheese.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant, ham, and cheese layers in the baking dish. Allow it to soak for about 15 minutes so that the croissants can absorb the custard mixture.

Once soaked, gently press down on the croissants to ensure they are covered with the egg mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed, golden brown, and set in the center.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with chopped fresh chives if desired for an extra burst of freshness.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 6-8

Presentation Tips: Cut the casserole into square portions and serve on a platter. Add a small bowl of additional chopped chives on the side for guests to sprinkle on top, and pair with fresh fruit for a colorful breakfast spread. Enjoy!
