Ingredients

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 ½ cups sour cream

2 cups diced apples (such as Granny Smith, peeled)

1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)

¼ teaspoon salt

Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust: Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and salt. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Vanilla and Eggs: Beat in the vanilla extract, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Once all eggs are incorporated, add the sour cream and beat until fully combined.

Incorporate Apples and Caramel: Gently fold in the diced apples into the cheesecake batter. Swirl in half of the caramel sauce for a marbled effect, being careful not to overmix.

Bake the Cheesecake: Pour the batter into the cooled graham cracker crust. Tap the springform pan on the counter to release any air bubbles. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

Cool and Chill: Once baked, turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for about 1 hour. Then, transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.

Serve: Before serving, drizzle the remaining caramel sauce generously over the top of the cheesecake. If desired, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped nuts for added flavor and texture.

Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 5 hours (including chill time) | Servings: 10-12

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve slices of cheesecake on individual dessert plates, drizzled with extra caramel sauce and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of chopped nuts for an elegant finish.
