1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Roll the pizza dough into a log about 18 inches long and cut it into 12 equal pieces.

      Take each piece of dough and roll it into a long rope, about 8 inches long. Tie each rope into a knot and tuck the ends underneath slightly.

        Place the knots onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each knot.

          In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

            Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each knot, ensuring they are well coated.

              Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

                Remove the knots from the oven and immediately sprinkle them with shredded mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

                  Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Brush with any remaining garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
