Ingredients

4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear. Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

Sear the Pork Chops: Add the pork chops to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach a golden-brown crust and an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Adjust the heat as necessary to avoid burning.

Make the Garlic Butter: Once the pork chops are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest on a plate. Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add the butter, minced garlic, and thyme. Stir and cook for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.

Return the Pork Chops to the Skillet: Add the pork chops back to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter over them for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serve: Transfer the pork chops to plates and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce from the skillet. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
