Ingredients

1 large loaf of bread (French or Italian)

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 cup sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms)

1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled

1/2 cup black olives, sliced

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 cup marinara sauce

Olive oil for brushing

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Carefully slice the top of the loaf of bread to create a “lid” and hollow out some of the bread from the inside, leaving about an inch of bread on the sides and bottom.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sautéed vegetables, crumbled sausage, black olives, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the hollowed-out bread. Then, fill the bread with the cheese and meat mixture, pressing it down gently to pack it in.

Place the “lid” back on top of the filled bread. Brush the outside generously with olive oil.

Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is warmed through.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crispy.

Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into hearty pieces.
