Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 pound ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup onion, finely minced

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon allspice

2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

1 tablespoon butter (for sauce)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for sauce)

2 cups beef broth

1/2 cup sour cream

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, minced onion, heavy cream, egg, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter, and set them aside on a plate.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned on all sides. Once browned, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.

In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Stir in flour and cook while whisking for about 1 minute to form a roux.

Gradually whisk in the beef broth, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream until fully combined. Return the meatballs to the skillet and gently coat them with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to heat the meatballs through.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

                - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs on a platter, drizzled with extra sauce, and garnish with chopped parsley. Pair with creamy mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a complete meal.
