Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 large onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup beef broth

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes).

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.

In a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes at the bottom.

Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the potatoes.

Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer, ensuring even coverage.

Layer the remaining potato slices on top of the beef and soup layer.

Pour the beef broth over the entire casserole, making sure the potatoes are well-covered.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.

Remove the foil, sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.

                          Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 6

                            - Presentation Tips: Serve the casserole hot in the dish, garnished with extra parsley on top for a pop of color. Pair it with a simple green salad to complete the meal.
