Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 slices of crispy bacon

1/2 cup ranch dressing

4 slices of cheddar cheese

4 hamburger buns (preferably toasted)

1 cup lettuce, shredded

1 medium tomato, sliced

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.

Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

In the final minute of cooking the chicken, place two slices of cheddar cheese on each chicken breast, allowing them to melt.

While the chicken is cooking, in another skillet, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy. Remove and place them on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Once the chicken is cooked and the cheese has melted, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a minute before slicing it in half horizontally.

Assemble the sandwiches by spreading a generous tablespoon of ranch dressing on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

Layer the sandwich with sliced chicken, two slices of bacon, shredded lettuce, and tomato slices. Drizzle a little more ranch on top if desired, and then place the top bun over the sandwich.

Optionally, you can place the assembled sandwiches back in the skillet for a minute on each side to toast the buns and heat through, but this step is not necessary.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4 sandwiches

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the sandwiches on a wooden cutting board, with extra ranch dressing in a small bowl on the side for dipping. Add pickles or potato chips on the plate for a crunchy side.
