Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup bell pepper, finely diced (optional for added flavor)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper flakes, and chopped parsley. Mix until everything is well combined, but be careful not to overmix.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should have approximately 20 meatballs.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. This step is optional but adds an extra layer of flavor.

In your crockpot, pour in the marinara sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.

Carefully add the meatballs to the crockpot, making sure they are submerged in the sauce. If desired, sprinkle the diced bell pepper on top for an extra flavor boost.

Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.

Once done, give everything a gentle stir and check for seasoning. Adjust the seasoning if needed.

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs over a bed of cooked spaghetti or with crusty bread on the side. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for an appealing finish. Enjoy!
