For this dish, you need a few key ingredients. The main proteins are ground beef and ground pork. I love using this combo because it gives a richer flavor. Ground beef adds a hearty taste, while pork makes it juicy and tender.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 packet French onion soup mix

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, French onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, milk, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the bottom of a greased crockpot.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

During the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese evenly over the top of the meatloaf, covering it generously.

Close the lid and continue to cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once done, turn off the crockpot and let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the meatloaf slices warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 7-8 hours | Servings: 6-8

                  - Presentation Tips: For an appealing presentation, serve the meatloaf on a rustic wooden platter, drizzled with some of the juices from the crockpot, and accompanied by a side of mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
