500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup cornstarch

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Oil for frying

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/2 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

    Dip each piece of chicken first into the beaten eggs, then coat it with the dry flour mixture, ensuring an even layer on all sides.

      In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes for each batch. Drain on paper towels.

        Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil, allowing it to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

          Once all the chicken is cooked, add it to the saucepan with the honey garlic sauce. Toss to coat the chicken evenly in the sauce.

            Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
