Ingredients

1 lb flank steak

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

8 slider buns

4 tablespoons cowboy butter (see recipe below)

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup sliced tomatoes

Pickles, for serving

Cowboy Butter Ingredients:

1 stick unsalted butter, softened

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

Start by making the cowboy butter. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, chives, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and creamy. Transfer to a small container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper on both sides and drizzle with olive oil.

Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or longer based on desired doneness. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.

While the steak rests, slice the slider buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill for 1-2 minutes until they are golden brown.

Once the steak has rested, slice it against the grain into thin strips.

Assemble the sliders by placing a few strips of flank steak on the bottom half of each toasted slider bun. Spread a generous tablespoon of cowboy butter on top of the steak.

Add a layer of shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato on each slider, then top with the other half of the buns.

Serve with pickles on the side for extra crunch.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 8 sliders

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange sliders on a rustic wooden board and garnish with fresh herbs around them for a country-style feel. Serve with a side of kettle chips for a complete meal.
