4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

1 cup fresh basil leaves

4 tablespoons balsamic glaze

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

      Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

        Once the chicken is browned, remove it from heat and layer the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken breast.

          Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

            Remove from the oven and top each chicken breast with fresh basil leaves.

              Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the chicken and serve immediately.
