Ingredients

500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 large onions, sliced into wedges

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 20 minutes.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat. Add the marinated beef, stirring quickly until seared and browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining vegetable oil, then add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the sliced onions and stir-fry for about 2–3 minutes until they begin to soften.

Incorporate the sliced red and green bell peppers into the mix. Stir-fry everything together for another 2 minutes.

Return the cooked beef to the pan and mix everything thoroughly. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook for an additional minute, allowing all flavors to meld together.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
