1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey, seasoned with taco spices

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained

1/2 cup corn (canned or frozen)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Salsa for dipping

Sour cream for serving

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground meat, shredded cheddar cheese, black beans, corn, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.

      Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into four rectangles (2 triangles per rectangle), pressing the seams together to seal.

        Place a generous spoonful of the taco mixture onto the center of each dough rectangle.

          Fold the sides of the dough over the filling to create a stick shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.

            Place the filled taco sticks on the lined baking sheet.

              Brush the tops of the sticks with the beaten egg to give them a golden color while baking.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

                  Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with chopped cilantro for garnish.
