Ingredients

1 package (about 1 lb) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Olive oil (for brushing)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Add Sauce and Cheese: Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.

Layer with Pepperoni: Distribute the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top along with the Italian seasoning and garlic powder.

Roll It Up: Starting from one edge of the rectangle, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log. Make sure to keep the filling intact as you roll.

Slice the Rolls: Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, slice the log into equal sections, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.

Place on Baking Sheet: Arrange the slices cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with a little olive oil to promote browning.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 8 rolls
