Ingredients

1 loaf of French baguette or Italian bread

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet, cut side up.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and minced garlic. Mix until well blended.

Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

In another bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.

Generously pile the cheese mixture onto the buttered side of each half of the bread, dividing it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing into pieces for serving.

                  Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 4-6
