In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic until well combined.
Slice the ciabatta or French bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter evenly on both halves.
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
While the bread is baking, prepare the toppings. In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, a pinch of salt and pepper, and the torn basil leaves. Toss gently to combine.
Once the bread is done baking, remove it from the oven and layer the sliced fresh mozzarella over the buttery garlic bread.
Add the tomato and basil mixture on top of the mozzarella, spreading it evenly.
Return the loaded bread to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze right before serving for a burst of flavor.
