Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

4 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, ¼ cup powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Prepare the Blueberry Filling: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries and lemon juice. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the blueberries start to burst. Add the cornstarch, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Assemble the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the wide end of each triangle, followed by 1 tablespoon of the blueberry filling.

Roll Them Up: Starting at the wide end, carefully roll up each crescent triangle towards the pointed end. Ensure the filling is fully enclosed.

Egg Wash: Place the rolled-up crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a nice golden color while baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.

Cool and Dust: Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before dusting with additional powdered sugar.
