Ingredients

2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for topping)

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries for garnish)

Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Unroll one can of the crescent roll dough and lay the triangles in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing the seams to seal. This will create a crust at the bottom of the dish.

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.

Add granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and optional lemon zest to the cream cheese and mix well.

Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing on low until just combined after each addition. Avoid overmixing.

Gently fold in the sour cream until fully blended into the cheesecake batter.

Pour the cheesecake mixture over the layer of crescent roll dough in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place the triangles over the cheesecake mixture. Don’t worry about completely covering it, as some gaps will allow a nice, crispy texture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake is set.

Allow the casserole to cool slightly, then sprinkle powdered sugar over the top.

Serve warm or chilled, garnished with fresh berries.

                        Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 8-10
