Ingredients

1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized tips

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water (slurry for thickening)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Sear the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef tips and season with salt and pepper. Sear them for about 3-4 minutes, or until they're browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

Add Broth and Sauces: Carefully pour in the beef broth. Stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer.

Combine and Simmer: Return the beef tips to the skillet. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let the flavors meld and the beef become tender.

Thicken the Gravy: After simmering, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened to your desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper as necessary.

Serve: Serve the beef tips with gravy over a bed of mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

                Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color, and serve in a deep bowl to enhance the rich look of the gravy. A side of steamed green beans or a crisp garden salad would complement the dish perfectly!
