Ingredients

2 pounds beef brisket

2 tablespoons BBQ spice blend (smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt, and pepper)

1 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded red cabbage

1 avocado, sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rub the brisket with the BBQ spice blend, ensuring it is evenly coated on all sides.

In a large oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket for 4-5 minutes on each side until well-browned. Remove from the pot and set aside.

In the same pot, add the beef broth and apple cider vinegar, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Return the brisket to the pot and cover it with a lid or aluminum foil.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook for 4-5 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

Once cooked, remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing or shredding it against the grain.

While the brisket is resting, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and warm.

Assemble your tacos: Place a portion of brisket on each tortilla, followed by a generous spoonful of shredded red cabbage, a few slices of avocado, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

Serve with lime wedges on the side for a zesty drizzle over the tacos.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 5 hours 30 minutes | Servings: 8 tacos

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange the tacos on a rustic wooden platter, garnished with extra cilantro and lime wedges for an inviting display.
