Ingredients

1 (6-8 lbs) fully cooked bone-in ham

1 cup apricot preserves

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1/2 teaspoon salt

Fresh apricots or dried apricots, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Place the fully cooked ham in a large roasting pan, cut side down.

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the apricot preserves, honey, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt. Mix well until the preserves are melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from heat and brush about half of the glaze generously over the surface of the ham.

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning and heat it in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).

Every 30 minutes, brush the ham with more glaze for added flavor.

In the last 30 minutes of cooking, remove the foil to allow the glaze to caramelize and develop a golden brown color.

Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Garnish with fresh or dried apricots for an elegant touch. Serve warm with the remaining glaze on the side.
