Blanch the Green Beans: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the trimmed green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
Sauté the Green Beans: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the blanched green beans. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until they are heated through.
Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the sautéed green beans. Toss well to coat the beans evenly. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the beans are glazed.
Season and Garnish: Remove the skillet from heat and season the green beans with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving platter, and sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top for garnish.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
